Chicago Workers' Compensation Attorney John C. Serkland

Shea Law Group attorney John C. Serkland focuses his legal practice on Chicago workers' compensation matters and is well-regarded by both his clients and opposing counsel for his legal acumen. Over the course of his career, Mr. Serkland has successfully represented plaintiffs in workers' compensation matters by aggressively pursuing cases before the Illinois Worker’s Compensation Commission and fighting Illinois insurance companies in a variety of disputes from refusals to pay temporary total disability to obtaining compensation for prospective medical procedures.

During his time in graduate school working towards an M.B.A., Mr. Serkland worked in the music industry as a promoter, musician and instrument salesman. While Mr. Serkland has established himself as a formidable defender of victim’s rights, he still spends much of his free time as a working musician as well as an avid sportsman. Since childhood, he has thrived on the competition involved with athletics and carries this competitive spirit into his work as an attorney.

Mr. Serkland joined the Shea Law Group team in September, 2005.
