How Can Children Avoid Dog Bites?

Published on February 8th, 2012

Though most dogs are friendly, all dogs can bite. For the sake of your child’s safety, it’s important that you teach him or her how to properly interact with strange dogs.

In this video, you can discover how children should approach and interact with dogs. A child should always approach a strange dog slowly, let the dog see and smell him, and refrain from running away. It’s generally not OK to bother a dog while it is eating, sleeping, or taking care of puppies.

If you or your child has recently experienced a dog bite, contact Shea Law Group at (773) 365-0040. Negligent dog owners should answer for the wild behavior of their pets—that’s why we’ll help you pursue a lawsuit and get the compensation you need.
