Chicago personal injury attorney James H. Lawlor has been associated with SHEA LAW GROUP since 2008 and brings 21 years of plaintiff personal injury litigation experience to the firm. Mr. Lawlor focuses his law practice on matters involving catastrophic injury, traumatic brain injury, wrongful death and work-related injuries, i.e, workers' compensation cases, as well as cases arising out of car accidents, dangerous premises and medical malpractice.

Since joining SHEA LAW GROUP last year, Mr. Lawlor has achieved excellent results for his clients, including co-chairing three "no offer" jury trials that that resulted in favorable recoveries for his clients. In addition, Mr. Lawlor has received high peer ratings from both the plaintiffs' bar and the defense attorneys who he has opposed, which allows him to build consensus with opponents and achieve the best results for his clients.

Mr. Lawlor has written and lectured to other lawyers on topics such as wrongful death, intoxication in car accident cases and traumatic brain injury. In addition, Mr. Lawlor is the past winner of the Illinois Bar Association's Lincoln Award for legal research and writing, an award given to one young lawyer each year in the State of Illinois. In addition, Mr. Lawlor is currently under contract with James Publishing to co-author the next nationwide edition of Medical Evidence.

Outside of the firm, Mr. Lawlor enjoys giving back to the community. He coaches youth athletics and has been involved in numerous other charitable organizations in the western suburbs of Chicago. For the past five years, Mr. Lawlor has been the Board President of --- Knock Knolls subdivision----- widely considered ---- one of the most beautiful and innovative subdivisions in the award winning city of Naperville, Illinois.
